European Ethics Bowl 2022

Are you interested in learning more about the ethical challenges companies and countries around the world are facing today? Do you think the debate about this is important? Would you like to know what your colleagues from around Europe think about these challenges? Do you want to participate in an international competition?

All students from the School of Economics and Business and students from the University of Ljubljana are invited to participate in the national qualifying competition for the European Ethics Bowl, where we will select a team of students to represent Slovenia at the European Ethics Bowl (EEB).

A total of thirteen European universities and the European Investment Bank Institute are participating in the competition this year. This is the third consecutive year that the competition has been held. The EEB is a student competition in which students from all over Europe debate ethical issues in the business world. Ethical dilemmas are presented to students in the form of specific case studies. Groups of students present their views on the given dilemmas in a short video, followed by a debate, questions and evaluation by the judges.

Each group consists of three students, who may be from different years, programs, levels of study, or from different members of the University of Ljubljana. The group can also consist of graduates if no more than two years have passed since graduation.

A short briefing will be held on March 24 at 15:00. Registrations for the event are being collected at this link.

The winning group will represent Slovenia in the quarterfinals on May 10, where they will compete with peers from fourteen European countries for a place in the semi-finals.
